Voting is now open for the election: vote here!
Erinne Roundy - “If elected, I look forward to continuing to build upon the goals of those who have served in this capacity before me, but I also want to look at expanding opportunities to offer more regular professional development classes and broaden the reach of these classes to our members (and non-members alike) across the state. I have been serving as UAEA’s Regional Representative Committee Chair for the past few years. A focus of the committee is to look for ways to provide PD workshops, outside of the annual fall and spring conferences, to our UAEA members. With the events of 2020 and everyone being forced to transition and figure out everything on a virtual/remote level, I feel we need to take advantage of this shift. We have and still are adapting to changes and I feel it is time pursue the advantages that online platforms can provide to reach a wider audience. Though there are a handful of cons when it comes to virtual/remote learning and teaching, I also feel there are a lot more pros to being able to provide more regular PD workshops to help our UAEA members learn, grow, support, and network through virtual/remote learning and teaching. It’s important that we not become stagnant and that we look forward to implementing the advantages that technology can bring to our own personal and professional growth and strengthening our art community.”
